grill for a B or an A

Are they the same? I have a C and I picked up a grill for my C, but it doesn't fit. If a grill for an A or B, are the same, then I can sell it for either tractor. If they are different, then I don't know what I have. I spent a lot of time on this grill over the years, fixing dents and filling holes, so it is very disappointing to have it not fit my C. Is the only different in the lower section?

No. The A and B use different grilles. The B and C use almost the same grille. The only difference is the B nameplate is held by 2 screws whereas the C has one screw in the center. The lower section of an A grille is different and will not fit on a B or C. The Super A grille is the same as an A grille, except for the screw holes as described for the B and C.

All of this is only correct for the LATER STYLE A and B grilles. The early style use different fasteners and do not mix with the later ones. It also does not apply to the Super C and Super A-1 grilles that are taller and do not mix with any of the earlier ones.

Picture of your grill? I bought a B. The grill was a terrible, rotten mess. Found a nicer one from an A. Little carful trimming and it fit.

The triangle plates on the B are different than the A. I would be interested in the grill if it is for a B

I got this grill from a coworker who had a mis matched tractor. I think it had two long axles instead of a short one on the right. I just don't remember and the grill had been resting on the ground and so the bottom piece had pin holes in it. I guess I will take it to a swap meet and plead ignorance and hope that it get bought a knowledgeable person. It is the correct width and fits the top also. It just doesn't fit on the bottom.
