H Farmall weight

I have a H that I just built and it weighs 3300 pounds. It has all steel weight racks and wheely bars. I removed the pto, belly pump, and the paper pulley gear box and basically anything else I could take off. I built my own lower bolster and it has 12 inch tin wheels on the front. I put weld on hubs on the rear with tin 9 bolt wheels. I also removed the bottom of the factory gas tank because I have an aluminum tank out on the front. I am trying to get it down to 3000 but I can't use any aluminum for brackets or wheely bars. The only other thing I have planned to do is cut some shapes out of the rear wheels. Does anybody have any suggestions to get about 250 pounds more off of it?

I pull a H and I think 3000 is too light I pull 4200 lbs and 4700 lbs I did the best this last season in 4700 lbs more 1st and 2nd than in 4200.

I agree my H weighs about 3250lbs set up just like yours and I never seem to do very well in the 3500lb class. Its just too nose heavy to do well. I do best in the 4000 to 4500 lb classes. If I were you I'd let the 3000lb class to the farmall C/super C's!

I pulled mine a few times in the 3500 class and I was happy with the way it done. I would just like to be able to move some weight around, because as it is to pull 3500 I can't add any weight with the tractor weighing 3300 and myself just over 200.

My H had had the axles cut off, the upper bolster lightened up ALOT,
steering column made out of light guage steel tubing,
aluminum steering shaft, (which could be painted over.

With 16" pressed steel rear rims, all steel weight brackets, 4 gallons of fuel in the stock tank, Im 3200 with me on it. My front weight bar weighs probably 75lbs easy. The upper bolster modification helped the chassis the most. Lost almost 60lbs, and still have the stock lower bolster!

I had a farmall H that was down to 3000 and the only reason it did well at that was it was big cubes and had the 9 speed. Honestly, save your money and effort and stick with 3500 and up and have more fun.

I have a H that weighs 3025 with me on it (180). It's all steel with as much taken from the front as possible. Take off everything you don't need and lighten the rest. Has a 350 motor and does good in the 3000 and 3500. The H is a fun tractor when it's light.

What tire/wheel combination do you run. I am building a H puller with 3500 lb. trailer hubs on front with aluminum wheels but haven't figured out what tire size to run. My rear tires are 13.6 x 38.

I am running 480/12 three ribs on the front and 15.5/38s that are hard and road worn on the rear on a 16 inch wide wheel.

Took a chop saw to it. removed as much as possible under the radiator and where the hand crank was. Left tabs for the radiator.
