H weigt class

what year h? My 44 H weights 3520 with 15.5x38's on. I suppose you could but ya wouldn't have any moveable weight.

The early ones 39,40,41,42 were lighter in the rearend and center castings. Thats the story I was fed by an old timer. Something about the war era. I would suspect with a light weight front end, front aluminum wheels, no belly pump, no belt pully box, light seat, you should be able to make 3500. Just watch your cheeseburger intake before a pull!

A few guys did that in the club just that before your time. IF you strip everything off and i mean everything light brackets, generator, starter, and anything else that is not been removed all ready then you can make it. This again would be with the cast centers and 11.2's or 12.4's. 150lbs operator. Now if you opt for press centers you can make it easy with 12.4's and even a half set of weights on the rear and small amount of weight on the front. Now as for how well they pull that light is another thing...

We have a 1956 farmall 300(same as an h) with a t/a and with a 200lb driver can make 3500. it takes alot to get that light. aluminum wieght brackets help alot.

I've pulled against several H's in the 3500 class, partically Stan's, but on a real clay track he can't get enough weight on the front. He doesn't have aluminum wheeles on the back. but does have 15.5 firestones.

I have an 48 H with M&W 9 speed, pressed steel 15.5 x 38s weight 3100 lbs with a 150 lbs driver. Nothing extreme has been done, has starter, all the gears, battery on board, actually fuel tank, pto, etc... If you know where to look you can find the nickel and dime pounds to get the tractor down low. O by the way tractor is for sale very reasonably.

If you take it down to 3500, you best be getting the front end as light as you can get it to start with.

My front axle weighs 850lbs setup to run 3500.

I consider that to be light on the nose, considering the chassis weighs in at just under 3450 with 16 inch pressed steel and 15.5X 38.

14 inch rims, I can get to 3375. Chad
