Had to laugh

I got an email from State Farm today about a claim we filed way back in May. The Yahoo sponsored ad embedded in the email was for Farmers Insurance. I guess you can't choose who's ads end up in your emails. LOL

State Farm came out early this year saying they had made so much money last year that they were going to give all auto policy holders a $100.00 refund check per policy. I have 4 vehicles insured with them and I have not seen a dime. They keep saying they checks are being processed. I am not holding my breath until they show up.

I got 3 policies with State Farm.
My truck
Wife car
Wife life insurance
I got 3 checks couple of months ago and the total was more than $300.

They make all their money milking states with no fault insurance laws as a cash cow. If your state doesn't have it, don't EVER let them cram it down your throats by blowing sunshine up your skirt.

My antique car got hit in a parking lot by a State Farm policy holder. They sent a check for $3,000 within two days to the auto body shop. The estimate was for $6,000. I submitted the claim to my own insurance. They paid the whole $6,000.

I got 3 checks from them this year. Since they are a mutual company the money is a dividend given back to customers after a good year.
I’ve had them for years and never had a problem nor complaint. I do know that the agent you have means a bunch towards your experience.

I got State Farm ins. on 6 autos... haven't seen any rebate checks nor have I heard any news of such.

Don't expect $100 a vehicle for that either. I got a check a few weeks ago for that. $142 for two vehicles. They sent me an email and I had to file for it. I've been trying to collect on a damage claim since May 4. Guess how that's been going.

I got a lot more than a $100. It depends on what state you are in and the type of coverage you have.
I have a great agent and never had any problems with a claim. When my first agent passed away I did end up with a poor one for a short time. I found another and all is well.

Im not bragging about SF insurance. I just don’t have any complaints.
Insurance companies are business's just like any other company. They are a necessity in certain circumstances. The state sets the requirements about must haves. They require you to have it but your free to choose who supplies it.

Does your state have no fault? That's when the trouble started. They might as well have called it the insurance company protection act. You can't sue anybody for anything, with the exception of the other driver to recover $500 of your deductable in small claims court. You can't go back on the other drivers insurance, your insurance company decides what and if they want to pay and if they tell you to go pound sand, you might as well get your pail and shovel.

You can blame your state for that not the insurance company. It’s in place to try and reduce lawsuits for minor injuries. I’m guessing it has some major draw backs. My state is an at-fault state.

While Louisiana is not a no fault state so I have no first hand knowledge I find it hard to believe that a person has zero recourse if an insurance company wrongly denied a claim.

If that were true why would the insurance pay ANY claim.
