Seems pricy to me unless you really have a need for the half tracks.

Asking price is $3800 for 8N (what year & condition) with pipe-type loader and Arps tracks. Tracks are worth $300-500. Loader value is $2-300. That leaves $3000 for tractor. Too much in my opinion, but the Colorado tractor market (ranchettes) is a reality-free zone!

One thing I learned last weekend at the Palmer Fossum sale is those half tracks will eat tires.
This tire was used on a half track tractor and you can see how it ate the lugs off all around the side of the tire.
It's still a useable tire but looks bad. It is 4 sale on my local craigslist.

If the tractor is in good shape they allways seem to want 3k - Id say if you can see yourself driving the 1/2 tracks around buy it and have a good time this winter.

I don't know about half tracks, but if a stay arm chain breaks , it will do exactly the same thing, ( don't ask)
