I have been looking for a hand crank for my 2N and so far have not come up with anything. I have thought about making one out of round stock but don't know the dimensions. Can anyone out there give me the diameter of the stock and the distance between bends on one you have? Your help will be appreciated forever!
Thanks!
Larry M

Measure the ID of the ratchet nut that the tip of the hand crank will slip into.. this should also let you figure the side of 'ears' to use.

Now measure from bottomed out in the nut to past starter crank hole in the sheet metal.. then start your bends... if ya got the tractor at home and some measureing instruments.. you are all set.

Larry look around in your area for Old Ford cars and trucks in the 1930'to 40 years. They all could be cranked. I'll bet when the snow melts and you take a look around some of the very old camps you just might find one or get back in some of the old Ghost town garages and they will be hanging on the walls. Check down in the Gay or Calumet area. Good Luck. Ron

Jerry;
The diameter is 5/8"
The pin engaging the crank is 1/4" diameter X 1-1/4" long
The long part from the pin to the 1st bend is 19".
The offset is 8".
The length for your handle is 5".
Don't know how far from the end to put the 1/4" pin.

Thanks for all the information! I posted on antique tractors and got a call within an hour from a guy that had one for me. I seen them on ebay going for over $50.00, I can make a half dozen for that price.
