NATPA rules states drivers must be in the seat while starting. Does this rule out all hand start tractors?

How are you going to crank a tractor from seat?Are you forgeting that these are soposed to be antique tractor pulls? Just my feelings for what they are worth. You have too many rules wich keep locialy tractors away from your pulls.

this is for tractors with electric start so someone doesn't start it accidently in gear--you ever see it happen you won't make wise comments about it---good question origianl poster, just was answered correctly--accidents happen too quick! original hand crank tractors you just have to be even more careful

The guy wasn't being wise or smart about his coment. The problem is the way the rule is worded is dumb! If they said "all electric start tractors" then there would not of been a question in the fist place. Nothing wrong with the rule, just not worded right or clearly stated. And yes I have seen it happen.
