Hi muleboss. There were several attachments made for the pony tractor. I suspect it may be for one of them. A picture of it may help to determine its actual purpose.

It appears that you are missing part of it. It’s a light duty draw bar that you have there when the sickle mower is on the tractor and possibly other attachments. I’ll send pictures of my pony with that draw bar on and my other pony with the heavy duty drawbar.
