hay making reference book

i have a life long friend that has just retired, and bought a small farm. for as long as i can remember hes' wanted to live on a farm and care for a few animals. as a house warming gift, i'd like to find a book that explains the ins and outs of making hay. i'm not sure such a book exists, but i know he would benefit from such a book. thanks for any suggestions.

I found the "New Holland GRASSLAND MANUAL" with a 1962 copyright date while in a used book store.

Deere has several iterations of their Hay & Forage Harvesting book from the Fundamentals of Machine Operation series. Covers a little bit of everything in regards to the equipment itself.

I have a suggestion ,it’s about farming .
called “ Traditional American and Canadian Farming Techniques “ , written originally in 1916 . Because,I suggest don’t let the date be a turn off , it so practical ,making Farm Farming Techniques very interesting and rewarding.
