Might get on www and look up the Hay Barn, or Internet Hay Market, or Hay and Grain Market. They have buyers and sellers on those sites. Maybe you will find something.

Got a bunch of Sudan here in north central texas. Will take $15.00 per roll if you get 50 to 100 rolls. they are 5x6 bales, net wrapped out of a John Deere 567 baler.
Can load and need to move this hay on down the line.

Call Jerry Boothe of Lawrence Kansas, if thats not to far away. His number is 785-842-8813.
His bales are brome about 1200#s, net wrapped, 4 foot wide and fertilized.

Problem with distance suppliers (like yourself) is trucking fees. Eat up any gain in a heartbeat and with diesel going up every day......Even if you could get 30 rolls on an 18 wheeler which would make about an 80,000# legal load.

That was the problem with Arkansas hay when we had the drought. They had plenty and it was cheap to us at $30 a roll, but the trucking fee really drove the price up and that was back when diesel was $2.

Course if you don't have any and don't want to sell your stock you have little choice (if you could afford it).....but around here we filled in with corn stalks and supplements and we got through it.

Wondered what would be IRS's position on a deal like that. Gonna find out with hay prices this year with diesel and fert being what they are. I couldn't sell hay last year cause it was too expensive for regular folks to afford it and this year is going to be a whole lot worse.

I could probably buy yours and have it trucked up here (about 300 miles) cheaper than I could raise my own and I wouldn't have any repair expenses. Ha! Know any cheap/reliable truckers?
