I purchased a HD 6g used it for maybe 2-3 hours. Parked it in a pole barn when it started to rain, about 2 weeks later was by the barn and smelled smoke checked and the loader was on fire under seat. Got water hose and doused the fire. Looks like it started because of a frayed starter wire arcing (???) I don't think it had not been on fire for a long period of time when I found it. Not much damage batteries, cables, 2 fuel lines, seat and a solenoid/master switch (which appeared to have been bypassed) on the side of the battery box.

Everthing to repair appears to be available/standard parts with the exception of solenoid/master switch and the 2 fuel lines that are were rubber hose with metal fittings.

Does anyone have the master switch/solenoid? I assume that I can take the metal fitting from the burned fuel line to a shop and have new ones made but would be interested in purchasing them if someone had them.

Thanks!!

I just need the Master Switch on the battery box that is what burned, wasn't sure what it was. I include my email let me know what the $$ are.

Wayne they are be a real heavy switch. I was able to get the last one at NAPA, grandkids lost the key. All my cables are enclosed in rubber hose as they have a tendancy to rub on things. You are lucky you found it in time.

I simply use Marine battery clamps, and loosen the wing-nut and disconnect the battery when parked. Will accomplish the same thing you desire. All my battery cables on my HD-5G are 00 welding cable with soldered lugs.
