where do the head lights on a john deere be ground do they ground through the frame

Yes,most tractor lights do. I remember when we were in high school. Neighbor kid was trying to put lights on his dads Massey. Made some nice wooden mounts in shop class then wondered why they wouldn't work. Oak's not a good conductor of electricity.

It does if you run a ground wire on the underside!
Got to feel bad for the poor kid. Been there, done similar.

He wasn't smart enough to run a ground wire.They'd ground through the nut now and then if he hit them.

Quit blaming the KID after all there was a Teacher watching over him and he should have told the kid that he needed to ground the lights. Where was the Teacher anyway out to lunch.

The headlights on the front of my truck have a seperate ground wires, as do most modern lights.

There wasn't a teacher around in charge of this project. He just blended in and looked busy at it on his own.

that reminds me of someone i know that had an old dodge van he replaced the ground wire to the battery couldnt figure out why it wouldnt star asked me to look at it for him the fool ran the ground wire to the rubber motor mount said it was the only thing he could find that wasnt rusty. heres your sign lmfao.

Not all teachers would know that most tractors have to have a metal mounting bracket to ground out on.... So even if the teacher was watching it doesn't mean it would have turned out any better...

Ground is the fault current carrying conductor on AC electrical equipment, water pipes, cattle stalls, water basins etc.
