Red who to you think is sponsoring these events? Grass route anger? Well it is being funded by a bunch of right wing billionaries so they can continue paying a lower actual tax rate then the average stiff. Same bunch who are funding the no death tax screw job. Who leads the foundation, Dick Armey a real friend of the little guy. So if you ain't rich, you are not marching around for you but the fat cats who want to make sure they pay a lower tax rate then you. Look it up

Funded? There's funding involved? I kinda don't think so. This isn't like an ACORN or Code Pink demonstration, where the protesters get a stipend and paid travel and meals. These are people who think that when the Constitution places limits on the authority of the federal government, that the government should respect those limits. People that think that local government is more efficient and responsible than a huge central government.

For my tax dollars, needs to be lots more of them. I don't work hard for my dollars so that someone else can say that it now belongs to someone else. No one in my family ever owned slaves, and I don't need anyone, politician or otherwise telling me that I'm now going to be someone else's slave because he, she, or they say so.

I heard something on the radio today, so I googled it and found the following. Try clicking on the link in the first sentence "Department of Homeland Security Report" for a PDF of the actual DHS report. Again, a PDF of the actual report released by DHS, and no one but DHS. Some scary stuff there by our government and folks need to step up and say...no more. That's our own government. No more.

I have no idea what website you're talking about. All of the tea parties I know of have been organized locally, and as far as I know, have no "celebrity participation" at all.

Hear, hear! What we really need is more poor people paying taxes. If the poor were paying taxes, they'd understand what abysmal value the government offers. If they were getting less from the government, there would be fewer poor. The first rule of government subsidies is that if you subsidize something, you get more of it. That's why LBJ's "war on poverty" was such an abject failure.

Well, even if there are "professionals" involved, then I for one am grateful. I personally don't care if this is grassroots, quasi-grassroots, non-grassroots, pseudo-grassroots or not. Its my tax money at stake, money that I devoted my time and efforts to earn, and I didn't do it for you or anyone else, I did it for me. I don't mind helping someone, anyone when they're down, but that's my choice for myself, no one else's choice for myself, and certainly not some politically connected SanFransico salt water swamp mouse that got $30 million of our taxpayers money, as just one example of that 1,000+ page omnibus spending contract that our Congress and President recently signed without reading it before they signed and committed our nation to it, and still haven't read after they signed it, the whole time they themselves complain about that lack of oversight by our banks, auto manufacturers, and a whole lot of other private businesses they're sticking their noses in, and using my taxpayer dollars to do it. And none of that includes the $3.6 trillion dollars of taxpayer money in new spending that this Congress and President is seeking, and neither of these include the other hundreds of $billions already spent for bailouts and what not that we didn't have to spend in the first place, will have to pay back in the second place, with interest in the third place, to countries like China in the fourth place. This is still America for now, and folks still have the right to dissent whether they be rich or poor, educated or uneducated, leaders or followers, weak or strong, and we can just keep going. This is still our America for now, not somebody else's who knows what's better for us than us for ourselves. If such thoughts make me a vast right wing conspiritor extremist, then I for one will wear the title proudly.

Good luck and God speed to every last American that that exercises his or her rights while they still have the rights to do so, whether I or you or anyone else agrees or disagrees with the specific matter at hand. God bless each and every last one of them. I for one have more than had enough. Call me a vast right wing conspiritor extremist for having had enough anytime at all. These are the people who brought us the Contract on America, the endless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the secret renditions, the black prisons, and the Patriot Act. You just have to choose your poison.

For me it doesn't matter whether it's spent for good or bad if it doesn't fit within the authority of the government. It might be good for the government to hand out money to war orphans, but the Constitution doesn't allow it. I just want the government to follow the law.
