HELP 3010 starter problem

New to this board , I have a 3010 G which when you engage starter to try to start the starter will not disengage no matter what I do with key switch it keeps turning over till bat go down I disconnected battery ,recharged and when put cable back on it was still engaged .Any suggestions why starter won t disengage? Sounds like the solinoid is sticking, try tapping the solinoid on top of the starter , it might release but will probably need replaced, before you do remove the small inner wire on it and see if it's still engauged, the starter button 'could' be bad,,

I had a tractor that did this once. The flywheel ring was burred up and holding the starter drive on the ring. Filed the ring and cleaned it up and that fixed it. Might check the starter drive gear while you're at it.
