Help identify my tractor

I have an old Case sitting on my farm but it has no tractor tag. It has a casting number G1411 on the torque tube. The number on the engine tag is 2006470. The casting numbers on the front wheels is 6485A and the rears is 1201. It is a tripl-range and has a shift pattern of S over R, 1 over 2, and 3 over 4. It is a narrow front with power steering. It has rear reemotes and Eagle hitch. Can anyone help?

Why don't you go to the tractor photos on the left, do a search for Case 300, then 400, 500,600. This will give you an idea what you are looking at. Triple range started with the round nose 300 and continued with some models in the 400-600 years. Mid fifties thru the early sixties.

Are the headlights mounted above the radiator grill? A head casting number might help? What size are the tires?

Could also be a 430/530/630. Need tire size and does the gear shift coverhave a neutral safety switch located in front of and slightly to the left of the shift lever? My 630 general purpose has 36" rear wheels, 430 and 530 GPs used smaller wheels. Hundred series tractors did not have a neutral safety switch, started with 30 series in 1960.

There is a switch in the shift cover casting. I guess that is the N safety switch. I have the parts book for the 200-300-400 series and none of the numbers match. I thought it was a 411B, but it must not be.

What does the "S" mean in the shift pattern?

Given you have the safety switch does the dash panel have individual round gauges or are the common gauges housed in a single instrument cluster unit? 530 and 630 have single cluster and 430 has individual gauges. 430 and 530 have 28" rear wheels and 630 has 36" tires on the row crop versions. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking it is a 630, but did they come in narrow front? I looked throught the 530 and 630 pics and don't see one like it. Can someone confirm the torque tube number G1411 would be correct for this series?

630's came in narrow front versions. My uncle had one.

The easiest way to tell a 30 series from a B series is the exhaust pipe runs through the hood on the 30 series and around the side of the hood on the B series also the battery is under the steering wheel in front of the gear shift on the 30 series and under the hood on the B series.

G1411 is the correct part number for a later (1963-4)630 torque tube (serial# 8191147 and after). I don"t think it can be anything else, they only used this tube for about one year, as the 630 was cut from production in 1963. I suppose they could have used it on some later 530"s, but I don"t have a later parts book for the 530.

What are you going to do with it?
Is it diesel or gas? Try to get some pictures for us. We 630 guys love to see pictures of "Our" tractors!!!!!

Thanks for the good info! I'm selling it on ebay right now. It is a parts tractor only and is missing most of the engine.
