I just bought an old forklift today that was made by an Oregon
company called Holt in around 1950. It has a Wisconsin THD
engine and Wisconsin Clutch. It operates well except that it
doesnt like to stay in first gear. I tried to hold it in and it
pushed back on the shifter.
Can anyone identify the transmission? It has 3 forward
speeds and one reverse. It has a drive line from the clutch
and and output for each wheel and seems to behave like it
has an internal differential. You can see the break drum on
one of the output shafts in the picture as well as the shifter
handle coming out the top.
