Help to Idenitfy this MF tractor

Hey guys, I am going to look at this tractor tomorrow and I have very little information on it other then the pictures I have attached.

Can anyone identify the model of this tractor? I was told it was a 1960 model but it doesn't look like anything I can find from MF in 1960.

if you go to the left side of the screen and look under galleries, go to tractor photos, then type in 2135 massey ferguson you will see some pics of your tractor. it is a industrial version of the massey ferguson 135. hth... glenn f.

It's not a 2135. Being that it says MF and 30 on it, I'd say it is a early to mid 70's MF 30 industrial with an MF 34 four bar linkage loader. Very good loader tractor. It is a later version of an MF 3165 ind. that is based on an MF 165 ag tractor. Dave

Thanks for the replies. What kind of loader capacity should I expect? Will I be able to get downforce with rear PTO attachments? Any problems I should make sure to check?

No down force on the 3 pt. hitch. Only a few tractors have ever had down force. The tractor might not even have a PTO. Loader is rated at 3000lb. lift capacity but that could be measured at the bucket hinge pin. Check steering pump and linkage including cylinder behind grill for play or leaks. What transmission, Manual shuttle or instant reverse? Make sure it works and if manual shuttle, that the clutch doesn't slip and the brakes work. You need to be stopped to change direction with the manual shuttle trans. Check for welds or loose or broken bolts. Pretty much the same as checking out an ag tractor. Dave
