Help to identify Ford Tractor

Many Massey Fergusons, for another brand, seem to develop differences from the UK built ones they thought to be like. And they appear with serial number tags different from the UK and North American tags. I have read info that indicates there were some places in the Australia area that were licensed to build/modify under some manufacturers. Could this be something along those lines. Perhaps if I ad @Charles in Aus. he will see it and have some insight.
I was going to ask is it possible it was built here or latest modified here as we did have Ford Australia?

I am going to guess that is highly likely from some other threads I have seen regarding some tractors "down under". I think some Allis Chalmers were built/modified under license in your area,

The tractor does have European fenders and head lights

I agree on the European fenders, and footrests, but European headlights? They look like after market replacement headlights to me with the black housing/bezel.

My uncle claims the headlights have never been replaced since it’s been in the family but that’s not to say it wasn’t replaced before they got it. He did know it had a different engine from the place they bought it from tho.

As far as I can tell the headlights look identical to those fitted at the factory .

Not a Ford buff at all Jim , but thanks for the vote of confidence.
I am fairly certain most if not all Ford tractors of that era came into Australia directly from the UK .
There were , and still are many private agricultural engineering companies that modified them , especially for the tobacco and sugar cane industries. As far as I know none were endorsed by Ford though.

The headlights are Lucas brand with the small replaceable bulbs, these look like the ones that were on the Fordson Dexta dad traded for but in the mid 60’s
This is why I said they where European style, however the tractor doesn’t have the standard European grill with holes for center mounted headlights

Cheers mate this tractor is an odd one I’m not surprised we somehow get these strange machines
Only two things odd about the tractor that I see
One is the serial number but this is the second Ford tractor located in Australia I’ve seen with a serial number that didn't match the normal Antwerp, Basildon, USA numbering systems
Second odd thing is the adapter block between the remote valve and lift top, this is to divert fluid the the valve on the left side that is probably the loader control valve, this would have likely been dealer installed and similar to the HV4902 adapter available today
All Ford tractors share the same chassis so any engine, transmission or axle components are the same regardless of the country it was built in. Some external components such as fenders, lighting, some steering components, ect differ between US and Euro models
If it were my tractor and I needed parts I’d refer it to being a European model

OK, the headlights on my '73 4000 had chrome housings and bezels. I have seen after market replacements painted black like the ones in his picture. I wasn't aware that Ford used them on some models.

Hi mate, can you use one of my photos for reference about the valves you’re talking about? The control valves on the left had side of the seat control the bucket if it’s attached and the lever valve under the seat lifts the 2 front rams (this valve needs to be replaced) hence why I’ve come to investigate and talk to the pros on the forum.

I have added yellow lines to the top and bottom edges of the block that he mentioned. Above the upper line is the remote valve. The two lines are

the upper and lower edges of the hydraulic adapter block that provides the ports for the two lines that power the loader.

I need to replace that valve it’s corroded to the point the front retainer has blown out I will add the eBay links of people could advise me on which valve would work best please.

Personally for some reason I feel the one from Holland unless there is a dedicated place you guys know of I can get parts like that?
