Here's a tractor question for ya

Some of you Deere guys might know this. What model of Deere is that one that Oliver Wendel Douglas is driving in the opening of Green Acres? Don't think it's a D. GP?

I think it`s a GP, but I don`t think it`s the same tractor ~Hoyt Clagwell~ that`s used in the show. I can`t remember what that one is....

There is supposed to be an early Fordson in that series but I don't watch it much anymore...too close to home.

At the begining it is a JD GP. During the show it is a Fordson.

On the show, his tractor was a Hoyt-Clagwell. In reality though, his tractor was a Fordson model "F" built from 1917-1926. According to Green Acres website

It is a GP, you can see it has a flat head, and the GP was the only horizontal 2 cyl that used that. The one Olivah drives also has a steel seat bolted to the top of the fender, first buddy seat I guess,lol.
