Dad is back home. He spent almost a month in the hospital, where they basicly said, "theres nothing more we can do" So Hospice care took over and we brought him home. He has Pnumonia (spelling) trying to get that cleared up, but he has had it since he went in the hospital. I could go on for days, but for the moment, he is home, all of us spent thanksgiving together, but we had no dinner or anything,, just happy that he made it that long and hope to make it longer yet.

I do belive that the chemo has done some damage to him, Im no doctor, I should have been one on TV, but. tractors and pulling was my true calling. HAHA!

2 years ago, dad found his old hot rod 3010 diesil JD. He bought it, and restored it, and it had been sitting for a spell, so I got it out and pulled it right next to his window,, so he can see it, turned on all the lights, revved it up a few times,, I think he liked that. anyways, had a good thanksgiving that we thought we would never have with him again. Glad to hear he's home Chad. We should all give thanks. You can bet he appreciated hearing the sound of his ol' tractor again. I'm sure the sounds brings back some good times for him. Thanks for the update,
Charles

Hang in there Chad, been thru this with several family members in the past few years. Nothing easy about it. Make the most of your time remaining and have no regrets when it's over. Really brings meaning to "don't put off til tomorrow what you can do today". The worst part has got to be the helplessness.

Take care, and best wishes.

Ray

Hang in there Chad, been down that road with my mom and dad so I know what you and your family are going through. Cherish every minute and always remember the good.

Hang in there Chad. Take each day as it comes and cherish every one. I believe your father will find great comfort being at home and surrounded by his family and friends.

Hang in there Chad. We're all praying for you and your family down here in Tennessee. I've lost a sister and two friends this year the last went through a real battle of it. Those little things you're doig for your dad are the most precious memories you can give him. Keep it up.

Chad,

Give my best to your family. As for you, keep your head up and remember that the good lord will cure all. I hope Earl pulls through. Pulling needs more knowlegable, helpful and friendly buliders, suppliers and pullers like your dad and yourself. Seems that more and more people involved with this sport are loosing that touch. God Bless.

Where is Leroy Mason these days? "Down N Dirty" IH 766 1998 ATPA points champ in the 57 and the 77 Super stock. Where is the Down N Dirty 766 chassis at?

Dad is Leroys biggest fan.

Im doing alright, Been adding on to the tractor shop, added a 30x56 addition, we put the crank grinder and the crank welder in there together. Been wiring it up and sealing it up till late in the evenings. Gonna have wood heat but trying to figure out how and where to put it. Ya know things like that kinda things.

I dont know how long the gas will be cheaper than what it has been in recent times, soon as I got a rig and trailer built up to travel, I wanna go see how our work is paying off, and see if there is anything we can do to make it even better. So go out, go pulling if you can.

I know why I aint at a pull, how come you guys are at home? LMAO.

Did Marlatt go pulling or is he home too? Chad

Chad, try some alternate medicine. There are a lot of cures out there that will stop or cure cancer. Some people will laugh at this statement but things will work.Chemo and radiation only help the cancer and people will get intolerate to them. Some people will laugh and you may even laugh.Essiac tea will help, green tea, graviola, dmso, eat plenty of cruciferous vegetables, onions and garlic.Tomatoes are good fighter against cancer.Stay away from pork meat and eat very little beef.Eat a lot of fish and some poultry.Stay away from sugar, cancer cells live off of sugar and anything that will turn to sugar quickly, starchy foods like potatoes, wheat products, refind wheat products and pastas will go to the cancer cells. You may scoff at all this but I had cancer and tried the alternate medicine route and in my last test ,no cancer showed up.I went to Tulsa to a cancer treatment center that used only the DMSO as a treatment.I will pass on the place if you are interrested. You may find a place close to you if you will look on the internet for a place that uses DMSO or another alternative.Hope you will take heed and try some of it. Dale

Chad,
I've been down this road with my Dad,so my heart and prayers go out to you both.Remember there is a big difference between quantity of life and Quality of life.Above all honor his wishes if you can. Also write down all those "little things and sayings",that are so clear to you now because as the years pass they can fade, also ask those questions about who what and when as far as family 'cause so much of this can be lost forever.God bless and make the most of what you can.We will keep you folks in our prayers.

Dear Dale, Ill pass this info on. Being fed thru a G tube, perforation in the esaphagus, Can drink thru the mouth, no solid food. Been working on clearing up pnumonia, and thats a rough battle, but so far, slow progress. On O2, regualr breathing treatments. When in the hospital, they did seem to use alot of morpheen (spelling) and good ness sakes, I was understanding how much a day they gave him, well,,, I was shocked a little. Maybe you know waht I mean, maybe not, but like I said, I could go on for days bout this ordeal. Email me if you wish, [email protected] ChadS

So far as I know, Leroy still has a fabricating business. The DnD 766 went to the Hayes team in NY. They may still have it with the newer tin work, I"m not sure.

As so many others have said, best wishes to you and your dad.
