Under the situation not to bad, farmer retired and has it on consignment. He was offered $8000.00 cash and turned it down, so one knows about where the cutoff is..

I figured with Allan having his hydro dying he could use this as a better replacement...:>)

I did not get a chance to check hrs. Though I did ask at tractor dealership hrs, individual I talked to wasn't sure, said to ask the manager.

But look at it this way Allan, with two sets of tires on the back, you can get twice as much work done and cover twice as much area..:>))
AND get twice as much mileage for the buck..:>)

Also would take that 240 acres just to turn it around, then you would have all the tillage done in one turn around..LMAO

Do these two tractors have different axles or does the one just have a large axle cover? Never seen a FWA 1466 in person, looks like the one is mounted farther ahead than the other, both nice looking machines, and if its mechanically sound a fair price, saw a 2wd 1466 this spring sell for 9600, but it was a red cab one.

With a price like that, somebody wants to "get it gone". What's the scoupe? Finincial situation.... or it's going to pieces inside?

Keith's axle looks to be an early Elwood or Coleman MFWA, not as heavy duty or turns as sharp as the late model Elwood that mine has. In my area of Western NY there are dozens of 66 series IH's with these MFWA on them I'm not a big fan of IH tractors but the 4 wheel drive can really turn these tractors into pulling beasts when weighted properly.

Shep, it is in NE Oregon, about 6 miles south of the Columbia River. I did have the dealers card but gave it to a friend in WA. He has an individual that is interested in it.
