Hey Old you said you use your swinging drawbar to pull a trailer.I have one but I was wondering if you have to crawl under the tractor each time you hook up the trailer or can you leave the bar in place without interfering with other equiptment like the disc or scoop.Also how does it connect under the tractor.It looks like it does not have room for a pin unless its upside down.I know im missing some part,just don't know what...Thanks everyone R.M. What tractor are you using ? If its an 8n , the pin pushes in & turns , which locks it in . HTH! God bless

The draw bar normally has two settings for length.
Use the shorter setting and it usually wont interfere with mounted equipment

I leave the draw bar on all the time. The only thing that ever causes a problem with it is my 2 bottom plow and I just swing it all the way to one side and the problem is solved.

This looks like the official replacement for the twist and turn original that sometimes found a way to fall out. I have both kinds on my tractors ant this works just fine, just a little harder to put in.

On my 841 that lock pin goes in such a way that the lock pin sits between 2 piece of metal and has a gp of maybe a 1/4 inch that it sits in. And that is very close the the tranny case. The wy it sits the big pin goes into 3 pieces and is held good and tight. Hard to explain it and I know my cam would never take a good enough picture of it to help either unless I could lift the tractor way up high

I use the drawbar on all my tractors. The only one I have ever lost is on a 2120 where the pin is held with a small bolt and the bolt fell off. Like Old said, the clip is pretty hidden close to the tractor between two thick chunks of steel. I have never needed to remove it from the 4000, 4600 or 5600 for any implements because it swings out of the way. The 2120 does not swing and we have to remove it so it doesn't interfere with the PTO shaft on the brush hog. It's the safest way to pull a trailer in my opinion. I would never use the 3 point hitch for a trailer unless you have a way to keep the arms from suddenly swinging up.
