Hour meter wiring

How do you wire the electric hour meter on a letter series tractor? I
have a wiring diagram, and it shows the black wire going to the
pressure switch, but I can"t tell where the white one goes. I at first
thought it was a ground since it is white and has a larger hole in its
connector, but now I"m not so sure.
