i have a du all 325 loader that i am putting on my m.m 445. when the loader is down, about how far in front of the front tires should the loader be? i'm afraid if it's too far forward i will bust spindles moving round bales. any advice helpful.
thanks
Gary

For heavy work, I would keep it close. With the bucket on the ground, I would have the back of the bucket about 12" away from the tires. On the tractor I load manure with, I have it about 24" away so I can get a little more reach dumping into the spreader. All of this varies depending on how far the front of the tractor sticks out in front of the axle. How big are the bales you are looking to move? A 445 is a nice tractor, but I think it is a little light for moving round bales, unless they are small 4x4 bales.
Just my 2 cents,
KRS

I agree. If they are small bales it may work ok. They are kind of a light front end otherwise for a loader.

thanks for the thoughts. they are big round bales, 1300 pounds so i usually only use the 3 point to move them but to get them off my trailer i need the loader. just go real slow. want to beef up the front end, just wanted to find out if i'm sticking out to far up front.
