Got all 3 books plus Serial # Guide ( free ) & all that for only 141 bucks & in only 13 days to my PO Box . That's gota be the way to go . Now only waiting on Big-Dean's CD & I might be able to put all the bits back together the right way without a full " parts-left-over-bin " . If it weren't for all you chaps in here , I'd have never tried to "pull-this-off " SO - MANY THANKS TO YOU ALL . james in Auzzie-land

Ok, I hate to burst your bubble, but if these are Jensales, like what was offered here last time I checked, and I'll try to be polite, they are not good quality, people should know what they are getting, and yes I sent a polite, yet detailed inquiry to this site about the quality of these spiral bound photo copies and they were not even kind enough to respond, I'll assume they got the e-mail and did not want to respond to it. No problem, each to their own.

Photo copies, perforated for a plastic spiral binding system, like Ibico, poor print resolution and photo duplication, and no charge for the typo on the front cover, (see the auction and or photo below, I kid you not).

There are many used orignals out there, for half the price, that have original lithograph print quality, as well as many O.E.M.'s still offering a good quality re-print. What irks me is that Jensales asks top dollar for something that is clearly poor quality, and may be available elsewhere in another form, of higher quality for considerably less money. It's commendable to offer a library of this information, especially if it is not available or accessible elsewhere, maybe it's decribed as what it is somewhere and I've missed it, but I got the feeling they don't like people like me asking questions. They ought to call it a donation if it supports the organization, price does not equal what the product is, the below example is not worth $22.00 at 442 pages .05 cents a page, let alone $79.95 for photocopies. Something is awry and I think people should know exactly what they are getting is all I am saying.

Are those copies of manuals actually legal to reprint and sell? Seems to me that they might be in violaion of copyright laws.. Not a big deal to me, but I know a lot of companies are real particular about intellectual property..

It's hard for me to say regarding this manufacturer, and the company who is offering the product I posted in this thread. I'm sure they would take action if they did not grant license to duplicate their manuals/books. These copies have been offered for quite awhile now, I would imagine they are aware of it.

For some time, Midland Press offered their re-prints, under license, but Cat has since taken it back in house, they being the original manufacturer offer a good quality re-print for $50.00, for their older tractors. I realize that making the information available is a good thing, especially when the original manufacturer is no longer in business, but using this one as an example, I don't think the photocopied product justifies the price they ask. People have bought these, only later to realize that the print quality, especially photos and diagrams, are useless, not legible, yet they paid top dollar for them. Do they tell you this before you purchase, no they don't. So, although I may seem a bit abrasive on this subject, I think it's only fair to the buyer to know what they are getting.

For $29.00 more you can get a lesser quality manual with a typo on the cover, so for more you get less ? Don't make sense does it.

Jensales has been in business for a long time now. If anyone was to contest whether they were infringing on copyrights, it would have happened by now. The Jensales manuals may not be of the highest print quality, but its good enough. You can read it, and really that is all that matters, plus, the content is original, it contains the same material that was printed in the original manual, which is a whole lot better than those other copy cat manuals.
