How much 3pt Movement when adj Quadrant Lever??

Hello all, (8n front mount) rebuilt Lift cylinder and pump

Got her together finally and after the pump rebuild I am obviously off ( yes the jig would have avoided this) but....the lowest point of the 3pt is still too high. Almost knee heigth.

If I adjust the lift lever quandrant back vs forward. How much additional "drop" do you think I can squeeze out of it ( at the end of the lift arms) till spring and I can take the cover back off and adjust it??

I just need a couple more inches for attachments.

Thanks for any advice.

P.S. I love having it back to the original 8n gray vs a dark gray.

I had the same problem when I rebuilt a 1954, and dont really know if the adjustments are the same, because 53-54 are much different hydraulics. My problem was that the manual is very hard to understand, and Zane can make it much simpler. On a 54 each measurement must be made with the lifting arm either 1/2 inch up or down depending on which measurement you are setting. I dont think you can correct it with the quadrant arm.

Hard to tell. Loosen the 4 cap screws and try it. If there is adjustment left, you should be able to get a couple of inches. Good luck.

THanks...I should have adjustment left...its in the middle now...as thats the way I set it per the book.....all I can do is try it and see I guess!!
