How much does it cost to replace a TPMS Sensor ?

I would bet most places would encourage rebalancing, or they would not stand behind a shimmy or a vibration. Mark.

On some wheel and sensors, there is no need to remove the tire from the wheel. Just break the front bead, push the tire down, remove and replace the sensor. Reair the tire, done. Some wheels and/or low profile tires may require marking and removal. Still no need to rebalance as long as the mark is accurately marked and used to reinstall.

Not to say that some wouldn't 'encourage' more work, but it's not needed.

With the 8 vehicles we maintain, we have replaced several sets of TMPS sensors (all from Amazon) without a problem. Never had a dead battery in them cause the check engine light to come on. Have tried replacing the defective one in the past, but my experience has been; once one goes bad, the others are soon to follow.

I learned from my dealer there are 2 different TPS that Cadillac uses. They have a tool that can tell which frequency the sensor uses. 315MHx or 433 Mz
