I have never tried to buy a tractor from the ads shown on this site. Could use advise how to do it safely. Any tips.

I have never bought one on the ads here but have got a few parts here and there. Now I have sold a few and I have not had any body complain that I know of about one I sold. That said its still buyer beware no matter who or where you buy it. Some people are not honest or some don't know for sure what they have

Unless you have someone you trust to touch, hear and drive it for you.

Allan inspected that one in Nebraska for me and its everything he described to me.

I never laid eyes on it till it rode into my driveway from 750 miles away.

Guess I did see a few pictures before I bought it.(:~})

Hope your 1066 turned out as good as the one I bought, Gary.

Had to put two tires on the front end, but other than that, I put it right in the field. Got it under the loader for now until I get my other tractor back from the shop.

Might even sprinkle a little paint on it this winter. :>)

I recently bought a Kubota excavtor off this sites ads. I took a chance, talked to the guy several times, his address pulled up with his phone number which I took as a good sign, saw one picture
sent him a deposit and worried whole time until he brought it here. One heck of a nice guy and all worked out well. Sometimes you just have to take a chance.

Just had an idea. Everyone seems to trust Allan's opinion on tractors and stuff, so maybe he could do tractor inspections for a sideline, when he's not busy making all his own tractors better than new. Just a thought. Dave

135 Fan, Good idea, and if the tractor is not like allan says, its back on the truck and he can make it better, all better. Just what we need. right on.

Still running good Allan.

Had to adjust the clutch/TA linkage but other than that its been good.

Gonna try to tighten up the shift linkage this winter.

Bout time to put the loader back on the 1086 and put that 1066 on the grain auger for the fall.

Say now,

That old mule turned out pretty darned sweet! If ya keep 'em working, ya keep 'em happy. :>)

Good news! I put those old duals on my 966 and they are still up and holding air. Whoda thunk it? :>)
