Huber Maintainer

Hi. Does anyone know what transmission was used in the Huber Maintainer? I recall reading that it was some type of five speed fuller. Does anyone know the model number? Is there anything else that used the same transmission ? Some truck or whatever?

Huber was a full time tractor manufacturer,
and Mfr of steam engines prior to that. The
Huber Maintainer was based on a production tractor
much as the Allis-Chalmers Road Patrol, (see OLD's
photo in tractor talk) was based on an Allis WD.
There should be Huber clubs/websites out there
with lots of info.

Hi again.
There is really not that much out there on the Huber Maintainer. I was hoping to hear from someone who had one parked in the back yard!

The one I have (just bought it) has been repowered with a small block ford with an automatic transmission. Scarey.

I have found that it originally had a Hercules QXB-5 with just over 40 horse. A five speed fuller transmission. A hand clutch.

Any one with any other info?

Hi Kevin, I've got a 650 I use regularly, and have mostly rebuilt over the years. Good small machine, versatile, if you reinforce the things you break.

Got a parts machine, got a spare Fuller transmission, lots of other parts... Located on a small island in the NW corner of Washington State. A bit awkward to get to, need a boat...

Got an extra manual, bent up but with all the pages, cover trashed.
