hydraulic leak from a screw?

This is the view under the seat in the tractor ( 1466 international-just got it!)
The two screws on the pump/motor ( i think) are covered in oil and it leaks out the back and down the pto and in to the field. Is this an easy fix? I couldn't seem to turn the screw easily. Is there any risk of springs, or oil coming out of the hole if I undo it? What are these even called? What about the steel oil line covering one of the screws?
And finally, I am new to tractors, and hydraulics, is this something I can even attempt?
Please help me before I put the seat back on!!

I thought someone would have helped you by now!

Sorry, but I am not "up" on what's under those screws, and my shop manuals are 25 miles away tonight!

Better to wait for help, though, than to get a "surprise"!

ZANE, over on the "N" Ford Board likes to post his version of this story:

"The Golden Screw"

Once upon a time, a young lad was born without a belly
button. In its place was a golden screw. All the doctors
told his mother that there was nothing they could do.
Like it or not, he was stuck with it.

All the years of growing up were real tough on him, as
all who saw the screw made fun of him. He avoided
ever leaving his house and thus, never made any friends.

One day, a mysterious stranger saw his belly and told him
of a swami in Tibet that could get rid of the screw for him.
He was thrilled. The next day he took all of his life's savings
and bought a ticket to Nepal! After several days of climbing
up steep cliffs, he came upon a giant monastery. The swami
knew exactly why he had come. He was told to sleep in the
highest tower of the monastery and the following day when
he awoke, the screw would have been removed.

The man immediately went to the room and fell asleep.
During the night while he slept, a purple fog floated in an
open window, bearing in its mist, a golden screwdriver.

In just moments, the screwdriver removed the screw and
disappeared out the window. The next morning when the
man woke, he saw the golden screw lying on the pillow
next to him. Reaching down, he felt his navel, and there
was no screw there! Jubilant, he leaped out of bed,
..... and his butt fell off.

The moral to this is: "Don't screw around with things you
don't understand -- you could lose your butt."

Those are not screws .They are a load check valve as well as I remember. They are held in by a wire type snap ring and have O rings on them.If they are leaking you should pull the valve off they tractor and replace all the O rings.Did this many times while working for CaseIH.

I looked for a snap ring, and couldn't find one. The only thing I could see, on the right side of the valves is a bolt head in line with these two things, and is it possible could be locking them from inside the valves?
I am up for undoing all the connections and replacing the o rings, but how tricky is that?
I am not a mechanic, but a very hands on, heads up person. Can I undo the connections, undo the bolts, clean, replace and it will work again? What do I do about oil pressure? I have ordered the manual to the tractor, but haven't recieved it yet, and don't know how detailed it will be.
Thanks for your help

so true. so true. But I am one of those really stubborn people who need to know what is under the golden screw!!
I kills me to pay someone to fix a small leak, when with a little direction I can do it myself.
I hope the manual I ordered has some good info.
Or maybe a strange purpple cloud will roll in to manitoba for some cold weather and help me with me leak!
