/e></QUOTE></s>I am a little confused here (and a lot of other places that have nothing to do with tractors). On my YM1810 I have two valve controls. One is the star wheel (That I've never used in the twelve years I've owned it since I've been told it is to regulate the speed of ascent and descent of the lift.), and the other is a lock that I use quite often in locking the lift in the raised position if I'm spreading fertilizer or sand. I don't know the configuration of an F220, but I would be sure be sure to check that there is a locking mechanism that has been engaged.
Sorry. Just read you fixed the thing.<e>
