hydraulic oil dipstick

could someone help me, I have lost the dipstick for the hydraulic tank, if someone could give me the measurement from the top of the tube (on the right side of the tractor, just under the seat) to the ideal oil height that would be appreciated. I thought I had previously posted this but can't seem to find the post, sorry for any duplication.

Ken, on my to35 the hyd. dipstick is 5 1/4 long. low mark 3/4" from bottom. full mark is 1 1/4 from bottom

I had the same problem, but solved it by attaching a small chain from top of dipstick to bolt on tractor frame.

be sure chain is long enough for you to pull dipstick and check oil.

so far, after many years, have never lost dipstick again
have found it pulled out a few times over the years and just hanging.

guess i catch my shoe on the dipstick as i am getting off the tractor, who knows what pulls it out.

If it"s a TO-XX, if you remove the lowest bolt in the RH side hydraulic compartment access plate , the oil should just barely run out that hole if the tractor is level.
