Hydraulic Plow Reset Pressure

I recently acquired a 4 furrow Triple K Plow with hydraulic resets. The hydraulic oil was all drained out of it last year by the previous owner. So the question is I am not sure how much pressure I should be putting into the system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i see you have no answers yet. could be others like me have never heard of hydraulic resets on a turning plow. the only ones i ever saw you had to stop and back up with the plow slightly raised to get it to flop back in place. are you sure yours isn't just a hydraulic lift?

I'm not too familiar with that type of a reset system, but from what I heard you just plug it into your remotes (if that's how yours is preaurzed) and just give it whatever pressure your tractor puts in it, probly around 1500-2000 PSI.

i'm lost guys. how could you have hydraulic pressure on the trips and them work. any body got a picture of these or somethng similar?

John,
No they are hydraulic reset, can't find my Oliver565 book. And been 15 years since I plowed, but the trip cylinders were charged with oil and there was an accumulator that cushioned the tripping and gave pressure to reset .

wow thanks. i had an oliver dealership 2 miles from me and never saw one of those plows. as far as answering his question, without any other thing to go on i would put a small quanity of oil in it and plow with it. if it tripped ease then add either oil or i guess air pressure to it until it worked like it should. i know the son of the dealer is still alive, but in poor health. i don't know if he ever knew anything about them. its been a long time since i was in that building, but at one time there was some parts and literatur still in there. might be interesting to see if he'd let me walk through it again. he watches alot of tractor shows on tv and has taped a bunch of them so he would know what some thing are worth. i have a lot to do today but maybe tomorrow i'll get to look him up and see if he remembers anything about such a plow or has any books to refer to.
