Hydraulic problem

A friend bought a used front mounted snow blower and put it on his Ford 2120. He took the front end loader off and we connected the hydraulic lines from the snow blower to the quick connects that had controlled the loader. The lift cylinder works good including down pressure. The chute is swiveled with what was the dump/curl selections from the joy stick. Problem is the chute will only turn to the right. Trying to turn it left causes the engine to labor. Reversing the two hoses let's the chute turn left and causes the engine to labor when trying to turn it to the right. Swapping all four hoses every thing works just backwards. That is moving the joy stick up and down causes the chute to turn right and left. Moving the joy stick side to side raises and lowers the snow blower.
Any ideas on what is happening would be greatly appreciated.

what happens when you connect the lift cylinder lines to the swivel circuit?

I know nothing and only speculation out loud…….

Some loaders have special hyd recirculating circuits that allow the curl function to work faster/ smoother/ better. Is it possible you are running into this special function as a problem? I don’t know enough about it to explain it, but it is a real thing on some loaders.

Possible damaged hose connector. Check that the nib on the male connector is not worn down or off.
This. There is a coupler on the tractor that doesn’t like the tips that are on the swivel hoses. Are all 4 hose tips the same? Basically, one of the check balls is not being pushed in when the tips are inserted in the couplers and it is acting like a check valve.

All hoses are new and professionally made. Moving hoses give various affects, see my original post. I'm wondering if the float runs in of the loader is causing this.
Thanks for all the responses.

I agree one tip is no good and acts up when pressure one way but not the other

That loader valve has a regenerative spool on the bucket side. When installing the front snow blower with hydraulic rotation that spool had to be replaced with a non regenerative spool.

The spool kit is no longer available.

Ding ding ding. It’s the loader valve

Ran into this issue a few years ago on a Kubota bx22 and bx2200 when hooking up a snowblower. One had the regen valve —- the other valve (an option for the front quick hitch) that had second float position on the curl spool.

On the same tractor I tried both valves as the are hooked to the loader so you need to leave part of the loader (with the valve) on the tractor to operate the the front hitch (snow blower in my case).

The regen valve would only turn one way like described above. The other valve worked as to should — turned both directions .

Unfortunately You need a different valve.

Have to say for loader work the regen valve is much better to operate.

It surprises me that they would put a regenerative spool valve on such a small tractor.

If I install a Regen valve can Ieave it on for the loader or will I have to change back and forth when changing from loader to snow blower?
Dave
You have a regen valve now, you need a non regen valve and yes it will work with the loader. The regen valves were used so that when dumping a loaded bucket the weight would not cause it to dump faster than the cylinder can fill with oil.
