Hydraulic Pump Problems

Here"s what it is: The front mount hydraulic pump of my MF 205 Workbull is pushing out the shaft oil seal from the housing. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this promblem?

In other words the front seal of the pump is leaking. Two major causes of front seal leaking. The shaft is worn of the seal is worn or there is enough internal wear in the pump that the passage drilled there to return the leaking can not handle the extra flow. The pump will need to come off and the pump disassembled and thourghly inspected. What is the make and model of the pump? J

Thanks for your reply! The pump is a MF 706 105 M91 (Cessna 20644-1CEH) The number on the pump is K20644 Cessna. I replaced the seal and it popped out of the housing in a matter of minutes. I can't see any cracks in the housing so I agree it looks like pump pressure is getting behind the seal and pushing it out of the housing. I've never rebuilt a hydraulic pump before, but there has to be a first time. Hope all the parts are available. Any more advice please! Again thanks

i think you will be cheeper off getting a new after market pump repair parts are going to kill you if you can find them. have changed out many and allways cheeper with a replacement and that pump is just a gear pump and it only runs the loader
