hydro 70 cab

Does anybody know if a cab off a hydro 70 would fit on a 856? I have an opportunity to buy a cab off a hydro 70 but its a international 856 I would want to put it on. Thank you! Josh

Not without some modification. The H70 is a small frame tractor. 856 is a large frame. Axles, and other mounting points are different,as well as cowling. that said,If you are handy with a welder, you can make it fit.

Well I do have a fab shop so I have the tools. At least now I know what to expect. Thank you very much for the reply. Josh

If I were you i would go easy route. Find a cab and mounts off something between a 706 and a 1466. The mounts are all the same. All you may have too change are filler parts around the hood depending on what cab cane off. Just my thoughts

Buddy of mine has a 1256 with a cab from a 1466. bolted right up,except he had to add some filler in a couple of places. My 706 used to have a cab from an 806,Iit had piller plates around the front.

You can make about anything fit. The trick is to make it look good/professional.Over the years,I have put a cab from an 1130 massey on my 706;a Cab from a 9000 ford on an 856,and a 706 cab on a 560. I have seen other conversions. Some are crude hack jobs, while some are good quality professional jobs that look almost 'factory'.A 'dream' I have is to put an IH 'Ice cream box' cab on my SuperM.But cant find an 'ICB' andI really dont farm with the 'Super' much any more.I have bigger and newer. So will most likely never happen. :(

My situation in life right now is I am so blasted busy I honestly dont want to spend much time trying to get something to fit that it wasnt designed for. Sure I can do it but time is money and its just not worth my while to put my efforts toward something like that right now. If it would be quick then it would be worth it but until things slow down which I dont forsee happening in the near future Id better just keep an eye peeled for a cab meant for it. You guys helped me out, I appreciate that.

Josh
