Hydro pump removal

For more horsepower do you have to remove the belly hydro pump. i drained the fluid inmy farmall h, Isthis gould enough

If you drained the fluid and it is running dry you will reduce it to junk very quickly, you had better drop it out if you want anything left to sell or reinstall at a later date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
