I-60

I have a 1967 I-60 with shuttle clutch. I want to change the oil for the clutch but the manual does not have any pics of which is the shuttle clutch drain plug. Also what type of oil should I use and how much? Thanks for all your help. Fredct.

Most likely universal hytran will do. Should be a dipstick on the right side of the tractor, under the gas tank. What is the shape of the muffler on your tractor? round or oval?

The muffler is oval. There is a breather and dip stick on the rt. side that I believe is for the power steering. One of my manuals shows a breather and dip stick on top of the casting in front of the "dash" panel. Thanks for your help. FSB

I believe your tractor is a series 3, which makes it an I-600, similar in almost all aspects to a D-15 series 3. I think that the shuttle clutch, and the hydraulic compartment are united, which makes one dipstick redundant. From front to back, the first dipstick is behind the radiator shell, in front of the radiator, is your ps reservoir(5w20 non detergent). Next is motor dipstick, next is the hyd compartment(hytran). Next to the dash is power director compartment(hytran). Under the seat is the rear diff compartment(80w90 gear oil). Get a manual for a D-15 series 3, it should correspond to your tractor.

Dave, Thanks for all the help. I got a manual for a I-600 which is all I could find - di d not think of D-15. As I am a novice at this, what is "hytran" oil - hydraulic tractor oil? Thanks, FSB

Hytran is universal hydraulic transmission fluid. Each manufacturer brand name has its version of it, its even available at Walmart or Sams club. I'm not sure what the weight is, I think around 30, but if you want the specs, just google it!
