I am done with the head for Lanse's little B. I still have to get the block ready for him yet.
I might be able to get to the block this week. Might being the key word. Things seem to be popin here.

Does this B, C, CA head look like any of yours?

Very kind of you to do the work, Dick, Kudos.

On a side note, is that an old DeWalt radial arm saw, without guard, that it is sitting on?

Yup, but dont worry the guard is off laying just out of sight so I can change the blade when I get to the next project.

Dick,
I got an IH head that needs cleaned and valves and seats ground if you do that nice of a job. LOL, looks good.

wow, thats beautiful, thanks a million dick!!! Its amazing the support ive gotten from people on here, head jobs, cash, parts, manuels, books, crankshafts, just incredable. Thanks to everyone who pitched in!!

Dick, I think that you are doing a terrific thing there. He'll learn about engines and a lot more from the experience.

Good on ya!

I wish I had the patience to do such a nice job. Where can He get a clear valve pan cover to show off some of your good work??{:>}} I see he is bubblin with pride and joy. And it's good to see everyone trying to help him, We all were there at onetime where he is now, just too bad some of us didn't have a forum like this. [kinda like a good ball game with everyone rootin for ya.]

Lanse, that tractor is going to be a pretty lil gal when she is done. Got your package okay. Anything else you might need just holler. Keep the pics for us as you progress. Have a good one. Arlen

Well, I cannot tell a lie. No. It might've used to look like that, but I'm not thinking that it looks quite like that anymore though. Actually, I'm certain that it doesn't look quite like that anymore. Same shape and weight, not quite the same...anymore. Mine's clean, not that clean though.

I have a neighbor just bought him a Deere rider from Lowes and has a 7 or 11 or so acres of field grass to mow. Now, Lowes is about 15 miles south, and the Deere guy's about 2 miles north, and he has riders, I've seen them, including a $15K job. But, I also just saw a AC-B setting in his fenced in area that looks pretty nice, and has a Woods under it like mine. Now, I haven't seen his new mower, but I know he has one cause I heard he has one so I mentioned it, and he says he has one. I didn't want to make him feel bad, but had he just gone a couple of miles north to the Deere guy, he probably could've bought that B for the same as he bought that mower, rode it home, and it'd still be mowin' grass another 50 years from now, if he takes care of it. I'll bet that mower won't be around then. As it is now, he wants to borrow one of my Deeres and hogs again so he can beat down his acres and keep them in line with his mower afterwards. Mmm. He should've gotten the B and then I wouldn't mind one last time.

lanse, why dont you have everyone who helped you, sign their work, then display their generosity with pride. sorta like sponcers on a race car...

now theres an idea for most things. Some people kind of wanted to remain annoymous though so i'd have to leave them out
