A while back I replaced the water pump on my GMC Safari van. I wanted a good one, as it was a big job to chang the thing. I go to napa and buy my pump, get home and find out it is made in china. Today I am changing my trans filter and fluid. Buy a brand name Fram filter. Open the box, Made in china. Maybe I shouldn't complain too much, as my MF 231 was made in Poland, and it seams to be real dependable. Atleast my JD's and My A/C's were made in the USA. Stan

no doubt about it, the world depends on china. for darn near everything. and now i read in the paper how the US economy is getting weaker and the dollar is losing currency value against other nations, and i read about how china has the strongest economy in the world(yet they can"t feed or care for their citizens). now why is that?

I purchased a new Kiefer 4 horse trailer in 2005. It came with load range G "Load Boss" tires made in China. I figured with 10 ply tires on a 4 horse trailer, I wouldn't have any tire problems. W R O N G!!! All five tires failed and I have always kept the recommended pressures, avoided hitting curbs and never overloaded the trailer. NO MORE CHINESE TIRES FOR ME. From reading the news lately, it looks like some of this made in China stuff is coming to a head. Too much junk, no controls.

From a more selfish stand point, if we keep exporting jobs to China, where are all the illegals in this country going to work? There's not enough taxpayers to fund the welfare it will take to support them and , smelling votes, no politican is going to allow them to be deported.
What a sad state of affairs!

Only a month ago, and two weeks previously, you were complaining about the same issue. Remember 'China bearings' and 'Looks like you are worrying about bearings too much'. Is the memory going or nothing better to post? Just get this straight. All the large companies moved their sourcing of items to China (or elsewhere) because they were CHEAPER.

Now are you saying the water pump is faulty? If not, leave it, it is not going to change things if you keep buying them and then griping about where it was made. Stop buying them. Insist on one at twice the price and of no better quality.

There may well be nothing wrong with that water pump at all! It is all about quality control, cheap importers and PRICE. You got a good pump at a good price? Well I don't hear you complaining of the price.
Lets hear of real life issues, items which have failed after short service, not just trying to knock the Chinese. They are quite clever really. They make things and sell them.

China could very easily care for and feed its citizens.
You see China is following the very model that the US is based on. CAPITOLISM. Thats right folks are very own system! They are at the level socially as we were in the late 1800"s early 1900"s and some wish we still were, Pure blessed capitalism where nothing matters except the accumulation of wealth for the few. We had a labor and social movement to rein in the robber barons, China is a few years off from that.

A month or so I was inquiring about China bearings you are correct. I did not buy china bearings. I made the decision not to buy them from China. When I go to a name brand company that has been around for years, I don't expect their product to be made in another country. Stan
