was at farm auction today 806 with new over size rear tires [radials] cab, good sheet metal, older repaint but not bad this thing sold for $4200. cdn. I don't know anything about I.H. but I bet those tires mounted up cost close to $3000. Are these bad tractors?

806 was one of IH's best, great old workhorse with practically bulletproof engine and drivetrain, but with the TA and fast hitch they aren't near as popular as the JD 4020. But if you are talking gas they can really drink that stuff.

Just curious as to what size the oversize rear tires are. On the International 806 23.1 x 34 was a common size. On the Farmall 806 18.4 x 38 was the most common size in our area. 16.9 x 38 was standard on the Farmall 806. Many other 34 and 38 inch sizes were available options on both the Farmalls and Internationals.

Sorry not sure on the size, they just fit under the fender lip by a smidge. Also had a significant downhill look to it. was a diesel as well
