I need a rim

Hey Guys
I am looking for a International Cub rim I could pick up close to me. I live near Springfield, Missouri. Mine is rusted around the value stem. I plan on getting it fixed as a spare but need a good one soon.

There is a salvage yard that deals in only IH tractors. They are north of you in Fredericktown, MO. JP Tractor LLC. 573-783-7055. I have
gotten parts for my Super C from them. They always treated me right.

One bad rim like you got, can be cut up for
patch material to fix several rims just
like it, with the same problem. The only
part of it, that can't be used to fix
others, is the part that is bad around
valve stem.

If mentioned salvage yard, doesn't have a
GOOD one, inquire if they have one like
yours, to use to fix yours. Might also keep
this in mind, if you get yours replaced,
and thinking of scrapping yours. It has
some value, to use to fix others.

Of course, to do the actual patching and
fixing these, requires torching and
welding.

call. They can custom make certain rims.

several layers of cloth and fiberglass i i made it like new with only 10lbs of pressure it will last and last. Just remove the
tire and tube then sandblast the area down to good metal

Cub rims are not uncommon or difficult to find. You should not have too much trouble finding a good used one, especially at JP. Even in this day and age new ones are not that difficult to find or expensive to purchase, worse comes to worst. They can even be shipped.

I'll third J.P.Tractor Salvage in Fredricktown MO I've dealt with them in the past with good report. Also there are a few yards over by sikeston MO then Worthington and All State Ag Parts owner of this site.

Just make sure the rims is for a CUB they look a lot like the A and B rims but they do not interchange

Also make sure you get the right width. Cubs came with different tire sizes on different width rims.

We've fixed rims with rust damage. It involves removing the
tire & tube.
Just make patches of 1/8 steel & weld then in place.
Drill a new hole for the stem in a different place around
the rim.
Not pretty, but cheap.
