6 GALLONS A WEEK! Geez! We dont go through 2 a week, and theres 4 of us! Even growing up we didnt go though more than 2 a week!

You might want to slow him down on that. There are some medical reports that link arthritis with drinking a lot of milk.

My wife and I use to drink a gallon a day. Now days because of medical issues we only drink a gallon a week and drink skim milk ( I call it flavored water).

I would be suprised if I even have one glass a year, never liked it much and don"t eat much cereal to even put it on, but I do like cream in my coffee every morning. Think I saw something on it a while back from the Milk Council or someone maybe Milk Producers or?

Dairy milk is for calves! That's what my mother used to say. But we drank some when I was young. A few years ago I discovered that dairy products were bothering my digestive system so I switched to soy milk. I will never go back, even if I could.

Milk is a natural food. Most All baby's need mamas milk. As far as medical research goes I would be leary of the majority of it. I am sure that if a person dug deep enough you could find a study that says Horses are bad for you. It is just like anything someone likes it and someone don't, and people can always have studies that say it is good and others can say it is bad. Also so you know where I am coming from I used to be a dairy farmer and I had a horse at one time.

(quoted from post at 15:16:14 03/07/14) Of course babies need milk, that's not the issue. They studied adults who drank large quantities of milk.

I am older than my brother, he drinks little milk and I drink lots.
He has arthritis and I do not.

Perhaps it can aggravate things if you are going to get it anyway.

Ugh, I'd rather drink a steamy mug of battery acid. I cannot remember EVER pouring a glass if milk. Mom hated it so we didn't drink it. Iced tea, lemonade, or water for me. I love cheese and yogurt, but it gives me chills to think about drinking milk. I've got some texture hang ups (no V8 either). I think it is that more than the taste. Don't even talk to me about Pepto Bismol.

I could not even guess. I have not drank milk in 55 years. I do eat a lot of ice cream, does that count? My Grandfather every morning had a bowl of milk with peaches and bread mixed in with the milk.

I could never understand how anyone could not like milk : I grew up on a dairy farm and drank all I could(almost no pop til late teens). I love it, but unfortunately can longer drink any due lactose intolerance which came about in my 40s. I now drink mostly ice tea, orange juice, and some pop. But I still miss ice cold milk! Mark

And not a whole lot of flavor either!
