Been reading this forum for sometime and has gleamed good info for all you old hands at this art of rebuilding.
I have just can upon a 1959 841 D i think, what is a sure fire metnod of making a good ID as to the model. Is there a place on this tractor that will tell me if it is an 641 or 841. I can make out the serial # and the last 2 numbers of 41 D.
Because of the rust and deteriation to the front of the starter housing the first of the number is gone. The serial # 84189.
I have 2 tractors. the #1 is an 841 D for sure--this second one looks the same with one exception the radius arms and drag links a smaller---but #1 tractor has power seering I guess that is the reason for a bigger arms and drag links. Thanks dugless
