What make of disc is this? My Grandfather had one with wooden tongues that he pulled behind an International 8-16.(Eastern Canada) Anyone know where I can find one for sale?

Maybe someone came up with a way to connect two straight disks into a tandem ? Maybe it's a prototype tandem ? Early vertical tillage tool ? I bet there's some farmer engineering there.

I have never seen a disk with that type of verticle wheel angle adjustment. I have no idea what brand it might be.

I've never seen a disk like this either. Looks as though the builders spent more time of the adjustment devises than the main disk.

Looks like a fleury bissell disk. Made in Ontario I think. They had a good reputation back in the day,

This may be the only pic online of a fluery bissell disk. Thousands of them were sold in western canada and a main feature was a wheel you could spin to straighten the disk so you could take it down a gravel road without damaging it too badly.

Does anyone else have a pic of one?

We had an old allis chalmer disk that used a hand crank for the same purpose in the days before hydraulics.

Thanks for your help. According to the internet Fleury Bisell had a plant near Toronto Ontario and manufactured horse drawn plows. I recall the disk my grandfather had was equipped with scrapers as well.

Google Images doesn't turn up any other images than the ones posted here.

A patent search shows a Texas man by the name of Miller conveying 50% interest in a disk design to Fleury-Bissell Limited of Ontario in 1938.

I don't find a patent for the disk presented, but then the Google patent search is for U.S. Patents.

I find the old patents and drawings interest to view and read.

This type of disc was patened by T.E. Bissell... US patent 1388159 in 1920. The T.E. Bissell Co. manufactured discs and rollers prior to the merger with the Fleury Bros. Plow Company in 1937 to form the Fleury - Bissel Co.
