Can anyone help identify what model, year and horsepower the followng Belarus 4wd tractor is:
The id plate says MT3 B2 (I checked the characters).
Below this are (possibly) serial numbers
019468 107658
BEC 3380
The engine cover has number 904 on it.
So far my searches on the internet havnt found this model 904 or the other numbers.

I'm looking at buying this and the seller told me it was a model 905.
Any suggestions???

Belarus.com would be one place to look. 2wd"s would end in 05 such as 905. Does it have a turbo? 90-100hp if 900 series, about 1990-2000yr. Is there a year inscribed on the injection pump? They used to put a date on it there.

Thanks to both for your suggestions. Using Trkr"s description it can"t be a 905 as it is 4wd and no cab (only roll over protection frame.) I tried Belarus.com with no success.
If I had to guess I woudl say it was around 1980-1989 - but thats an uneducated guess. After more searching I found reference to a model MT3-82. I wonder if a russian with poor english language skills might have confused the "B" for an "8" when he stamped the plate.
Does anyone know where I can find a photo and specs for the MT3-82 that I can compare?

Belarus

800 or 900-2wd,no cab. 805 or 905- 2wd,w/cab. 820 or 920-4wd no cab,with or without rops. 825 or 925,4wd,with cab.Hope this helps.

Prehaps MTZ-82?

That would be a 820.
(Actually, it would be it's predessor- it was resisigned into the 820 in the mid-seventies)

More info:

The major castings (Transmission housing, hyd. pump, etc.) will have a date cast into them. That should give you a rough idea on what year it is.

here is a site providing both specs and a picture.(Will need translation if you want to read anything else)

The tractors made by MTZ are so modular that the only difference is apparently different-sized engines!
Belarus MTZ 501/521, MTZ 505/525, MTZ 80/82, MTZ 800/820

you can join the belarus tractor club on yahoo groups and ask there. there are two groups that get the most comments.
