Since the 12 volt conversion on my 1949 8N front mount dist. has been cobbled up so much I am starting from scratch to re-wire it using the wiring diagram by K. LaRue I found in the archives. The original conversion had a IGN switch that has on the back side of it different places to attach the wires. One post says BATT:, another one says ASSESORIES, and another one says IGN. I see on the wiring diagram there are only two wires coming off the switch. Is it possible to still use the switch I have? If I can use this switch it looks like I would use the IGN post wire to the coil, but which other wire would I use to go from the switch to the OEM resistor? Right now the way they wired it there are no wires going to the OEM at all. Comes off the switch to the ballast resistor and on to the coil. Tired of buying coils. Thanks for any info you may have. fortyniner.
