Ignition switch

If you have the OEM switch, it only has two wires going to it. Connect them together. I use a piece of wire w/ an alligator clip at each end like in the picture.

(quoted from post at 22:59:19 07/14/09) How do I jump the ignition switch? Thanks.

That means to electrically connect the two terminals, or even just connect the 2 wires that connect to the two terminals.

(quoted from post at 23:12:14 07/14/09) Hey, Dunk,....I think beal is an honest feller...what you think?

I think I have been doing good staying off the booze.

But the more stuff that came at me this evening, the more I needed a drank.

I think the straw that broke the camels back was when I found out that one of the large dogs got locked in the shop that the N lives in, with most of my tools sorted to suit me, and destroyed the place fore he dug out under one of the doors that isn't concrete.

I haven't had the heart to go see yet.

One dumb a$$ dog got himself locked up in one of my sheds and darn near buried an ATC trying to dig himself out. Sometimes dogs are real smart, sometimes not.....just like humans.

Hey, we are not pickin on you.......just a slow nite. I grew up in a junk yard & we all knew how to start cars without a key before we knew how to start one with a key.
Never got locked out of a car or failed to be able to drive home if I lost my key. They have made it more of a challenge over the last several decades but not stopped the determined yet!

Bruce, how does that rig on the left work? I can't see it well enough to read the writing on it.
I figure it's useful or you wouldn't have it!

Some of the switches do not have an open terminal by the switch. If that is your problem trace the switch wire back till there is an open terminal or bare a wire if you have to. I agree the switches that are sealed are a bear to jumper easily.

Dunk. the booze will ruin the circulation in your legs and weaken your heart.I was a moderate drinker for about 10 years, never more than a quart of beer daily but it got to me.Stress brings on the need to drink. How about a dog door in the shop that only opens out.

That's a "store bought" spark checker. Turn the knob to set the gap. You can set the gap small for lawn mowers, larger for tractors, etc. I keep it in the garage tool box; the N tool boxes get the old spark plugs!
