I have a 560 IH and the red paint is blistering off and is white underneath. Is this an experimental?? ID tag #"s 15467 an L is on the top right. C-S-Z-C on the bottom. Could anyone explain these #"s. The tractor is on LP.

I don't think I have seen blistering original paint on a IH tractor of that vintage. It is probably a repaint.

C = LP gas burning attachment (standard altitude)

S = Torque Amplifier Attachment (with provision for 540 IPTO)

Z = Hydra Touch Power Supply Attachment (with 17 GPM pump)

Don't know what the last "C" stands for.

"L" is probably Louisville, KY assembly plant.

What year is the tractor? How many were made before this one? Do you think it was originally painted white? Its white on the foot plate on rear end housing and all over. How can i find out if it was a demonstrator IH?
