Hi,
Would anyone have the part number for the Plow Chief points for a IH McCormick C20 Plow? And a source for purchasing if possible? Are they still available through the IH dealers? Thanks and have a good week.

He is busy. Folks from all over the country deal with him. He is in Cynthiana, Ky. Best IH parts man in the business. Try this number. 1-859-234-5889.

I've been looking for quick-attach shares and finally found a source for those and found they were going for $140 each . He also said that the last plow chief point he sold ( the last one he was able to get ) last year went for $87 . Just the point . He said he couldn't get anymore . But don't be discouraged , he was just one distributor . ...Randy

If you have a CT farm store check with them. They use to carry them in a after market brand for about 25 a piece. I think they were Hershel&Adams or something. Brad told me while back he could get them for around 50 bucks if memory serves. I get all my plow parts from doner plows.
Just a couple of those points or colters and the plow is cheap in comparison.

Georgeky, What is a CT store? Maybe I'm having a goofy moment or something, but I don't know what a CT store is. Must be a regional thing.

It stands for Central Tractor. I think that TSC bought them out and closed most of them. They are a lot better than TSC as they actually carried some stuff for farmers. I think they were called CT Farm and Country. We had 2 close by and both have closed. They even had a couple of salvage yards with lots of old parts. Don't know what become of those.

CT and Quality Farm & Fleet merged several year ago and did not do their homework and caused them to both go bankrupt and TSC bought them out in bankruptcy court with the intention of getting rid of the competion. Previous owners of one of the cpmpanys tried to buy it back and keep it going but the judge thought it was better to get a few dollars more and put people out of work and destroy a business than try to keep it. The Used tractor parts division was spun off before the bankruptcy and is still in business.
